PROJECT PLAN

Born out of one Leeds man’s struggle to find an affordable website design solution for his small business, please read on to find out how Roundhay Web Design came to be.
Simon Macbeth, our web design manager, started designing his own websites in 2005, after hiring a multitude of web design companies with disappointing results. From exorbitant prices and poor understanding of his business and his requirements, none of the web designers bothered to get to know him and his property development business.
In 2007 the property market crashed taking down Simon’s investments with it. The crash cost him his property investment business, seven rental properties and nearly his Leeds home. After spending twelve months fighting off bankruptcy, he bounced back by starting several small online businesses. He created his own websites and in 2012, after receiving many requests from friends and business associates for website design services, Roundhay Web Design was conceived.
WHEN WORKING WITH Roundhay WEB DESIGN…
You will be directly in touch with Simon who is now the Design Manager of our Leeds web design company. He manages the web design projects to make sure every finished project sparkles. He sometimes calls people an idiot too, especially when he doesn’t get his own way, but we make him a cup of tea and slice him some fresh cake then he’s normal nice again. But to be fair, he is a bit of a website & business genius so he’s often right.
PRIORITIES
Simon now leaves the majority of the design work to his team electing to focus on growing the client base and ensuring customer satisfaction remains the priority of the business. His philosophy in business and in life is to never give up. His perseverance through his financial troubles is a story he likes to share and he has even written a book about it.
