Why Not Donate A Little Something To The Less Fortunate At Christmas Time!
Sometimes we forget just how lucky we are; Santa visits us year in, year out and brings us amazing gifts – we kinda take it for granted in all honesty. Unfortunately, there are some little boys and girls out there that don’t even know what Christmas is, let alone receive gifts from Santa on Christmas Day. Let’s all try and change that and donate a little something to make Christmas a special day for every child in need.
My awesome boss, Simon Macbeth, donated £200 towards Radio Aire ‘Cash For Kids’ and the ‘Salvation Army’ to make sure that as many children as possible received at least 1 gift this Christmas. My colleague was tasked with going out and buying as many toys as the £200 could stretch to and I think it is fair to say she did a damn good job! Just look at the pile of presents in the photo below – wow!
As of December 2017, there were over 25,000 children in Leeds ALONE that may have not receive a Christmas present this year, how sad is that. So let’s all band together, if each of us bought and donated one small present it could make a huge difference. Every contribution counts and is greatly appreciated. It doesn’t have to be something huge, a little gift would put a huge smile on these kids faces. It is always worth it when you get to see the happiness in their eyes and their gorgeous little smiles 🙂
Look How Far £200 Went!
£200 worth of Christmas presents in one photo! Home Bargains certainly know the score when it comes down to stocking up on awesome gifts for young children! Thanks to them, £200 went a long way and made plenty of children smile last Christmas. Goal achieved!
All Wrapped Up And Ready To Go!
From hula hoops, to chocolate, to the latest toys, there will was a few more smiles going around last Christmas! Santa Clause has finally visited the less unfortunate all thanks to services like Cash For Kids and The Salvation Army!
If you have the heart to give next Christmas, please do! Even if it’s just £1, every little helps. Every child deserves happiness no matter what and I am sure you agree with me on that. The smallest thing can make the biggest difference.
This is not just a one-off blog, we have plenty more of where that came from! Check out a recent post written about ‘Creative Photography‘!
